Watch how the incompetent fools on the Hill completely destroy what was once the largest Corporation around. I predict a Chinese name will replace the GM logo before too long as they purchase the carcass of the once great beast that was GM. I sympathize with your view point to a degree, but the US should have realized years ago that the global market for the gigantic tanks you guys drive is minuscule. Successive failures in leadership at GM (and the rest of the US Auto Industry) led to the Socialization of the company but ongoing protectionism to keep it alive will only compound the issue, serving to delay the death and cause far, far greater uncertainty and pain. Personally, I would never buy another Ford, I have owned several and they have all been rubbish. In Australia, GM make the better product - the Holden - re-badged in the US a Dodge I believe.
