ObamaCare Update

So the ObamaCare bill is in the Senate, where it’s sure to grow in scope (and cost). Last weekend, Obama went to the Senate to rally Senate Democrats on his health care plan. Which begs the question: If ObamaCare is so great, why does Obama have to rally his troops? Oh wait, we know: it’s because fewer support government meddling in healthcare than ever before. It doesn’t stop some Senators from living in a state of denial of the truth. Like, for instance, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who castigated the people who oppose government healthcare by saying, “When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said, ‘Slow down, it’s too early, things aren’t bad enough.’” He is trying to compare Republican opposition of government healthcare to the opposition to the end of slavery and the opposition to the civil rights debates of the 1960′s. We’d like to suggest that Harry go check his history book, since Democrats were the party that opposed the end of slavery and the debate on civil rights.

And where would we be without Barbara Boxer as one of the leaders of our country? In the debate of whether abortion should be paid for with taxpayer dollars, she said that denying women federally-funded abortions would be like denying men Viagra. Ms. Boxer should go back to school and take Analogies 101… in order to make an analogy, the two things must be equal or at least very similar. While 100% of the time abortion results in the end of a human life, men taking Viagra does not end a human life and in fact may result in the creation of one.

Is Obama smarter than a fifth grader?

Out of work? Running our of money? Yeah, Uncle Sam is too. But unlike you, Uncle Sam continues to spend money despite the fact there’s less money coming in. How fast are we spending money? Funny you should ask. The US Government’s fiscal year ends on September 30th. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office reports that since then, in two months, the Federal Government has spent $292,000,000,000 more than it has taken in. But not to worry, folks. Obama is at the helm and using the wisdom of his business experience, he’s announced that we’re going to “spend our way out of this recession.” What business experience does Obama have? Well, none that we’re aware of. But he gives speeches so well! Certainly he’s a smart guy! Certainly he did a cost-benefit analysis of the existing jobs stimulus and found, as economic analyst Ed Yardeni did, and found that each “job created” has cost US Taxpayers $246,436. This isn’t complicated math, folks. It’s simple division. It’s math a fifth-grader could do. It’s math the Obama administration doesn’t want you to do.

Reading… Writing… What?!

We’ve been collecting some stories looking at the state of public education in an effort to see if there’s any pattern or correlation we could find. While we’re preparing a story on public education that we think you’ll find quite interesting, there are a few articles that — while not part of the article we’re working on — are interesting nonetheless.

So what are kids learning in public schools? Funny you should ask. They’re being taught, by Barack Obama’s Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings, the details of a dangerous sexual practice known as “fisting”. First, kids as young as 14 were told about it at a conference in 2000 where students were bussed in from 2 public high schools. Other topics at the conference included an oral sex workshop entitled “Spit or swallow?… Is it rude?” Yes, this is the public education your taxpayer dollars are paying for. Then at the following year’s conference in 2001, “fisting kits” were passed out at a Planned Parenthood table. Oh, it gets worse. Founding Bloggers continues the story.

Keep in mind, people: these things are all paid for with your money and taught to children in public schools, oftentimes without parental notice being given or parental consent being sought.
