We took our time waiting for the events of the oil spill to unfold. After all, plugging a leak at 5000 feet under the ocean is no easy task, and we didn’t want to blame Obama too much for his lack of response before we had enough facts to make an educated assessment of his handling of the situation. Oh sure, we posted a video timeline about the spill that showed how many times he went golfing and partying, but that was about it. But now that the facts are trickling in, we’re ready to render our assessment: he’s not bungling the cleanup effort… he’s intentionally foiling it. That’s right: Obama wants, nay, needs there to be oil-soaked beaches and dead oil-covered animals. Rush Limbaugh said that earlier this week, and we initially were a bit skeptical, but Rush was right yet again.
How do we know? Well, Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal asked almost a month ago for federal permission to build barrier sandbars off the coast of Louisiana to help prevent the oil from reaching shore. The federal government (meaning Obama) did nothing toward approving his request. Fed up with their inaction, he went ahead and ordered the Louisiana National Guard to go ahead and build the man-made reef, Obama be damned. On Thursday, the Coast Guard moved in and told sixteen oil-sucking barges to stop operations off the Louisiana coast. That’s right: the Coast Guard told them to stop cleaning up the oil spill.
Why? Well, let’s look at the facts: The barges were ordered there on June 11th by Governor Jindal. The barges were doing a good job in cleaning up the oil slick mess. The Coast Guard is under command of the Secretary of Homeland Security (Janet Napolitano) who takes orders from the President (Barack Hussein Obama). Governor Jindal, tired of waiting for the bureaucratic mess to be ironed out regarding the barrier sandbars, took charge and went ahead and did what needed to be done without waiting for permission from the nannies in the federal government.
To us, this looks pretty clear-cut. The federal government under Obama’s direction is sending a message: you either do it our way, or there will be consequences.
As to why they would want to curtail the cleanup effort? They need a crisis — a big crisis — for Obama to come in and appear presidential, while at the same time moving forward with their agenda. (For more on who “they” is, see our piece on Tacticians and Strategists. For proof we’re right about Tacticians and Strategists, after reading that piece we wrote, read this article in the Wall Street Journal.)
This marks a growing trend happening across the United States: the rise of the states. We’ve been watching this develop, and we’ve been working on an in-depth article about it for a few months now. Watch for it soon.
